Black Spruce Over the years I've had a number of clients come to me with painful bone spurs and mineral deposits in their joints.  Some have suffered from this for years with little or no help from modern medicine.  While some report relief from cold lasers, others have resorted to surgery for bone spurs and joint impingement.  In my readings I keep coming back to one treatment for these painful and debilitating conditions - Black Spruce Essential Oil!

This deep and woodsy oil started showing up in my readings a few years ago and I spent some time trying to find a pure enough source for my clients.  Young Living to the Rescue!
Wintergreen When I was a kid I spent many a summer at A.R.E. Camp in the mountains of rural Virginia.  The camp was situated in a valley filled with wild rhododendrons, sassafras and wintergreen.  The wintergreen would grow along the sides of the paths and we would chew the leaves and the occasional berry.  The taste and smell of fresh wintergreen always brings back sweet memories.
Pine When I first moved into my current home I walked to the back yard and gazed across it and the neighbor’s yard and thought, “I gotta get me some trees, block that view out.”

Ten Pine trees, two red pines and eight white pines, later and a graceful screen is growing, beautiful and beneficial.

The soft needle pines are amazing trees. All year round they filter and clear the air, produce oxygen and add negative ions to the air (the point of each needle acts like a gentle negative ion generator).
Mint I love mint. When I was a kid we used to go to Texas every summer to visit my grandmother. She lived in this big southern house surrounded by gardens with one bed filled with tiny wild strawberries and tons of mint. She would make up big batches of extra strong, sweet, mint tea and serve it over lots of ice. Even on the hottest summer day that crisp tea would cool you down. Even after she moved out of that big, old house into a condo she kept a little pot of mint by the window. It never did very well inside, just enough to crush a few leaves into a tall glass of iced tea in the summer.
Lavender Lavender is making a comeback.  After years of perfumeries pumping out cloyingly sweet "lavenders" with that bizarre, powdery top note, people are rediscovering the crisp, almost slightly medicinal smell of pure Lavender, and it's showing up everywhere.
Ginger I've loved ginger for years, cooking with it, nibbling candies ginger for snacks, sipping ginger tea for stomach upset and unsuccessfully trying to grow it (too far north).  It's an amazing herb with a long history of use. Modern research has shown ginger to be effective in preventing motion sickness, and soothing digestion.  It also has mild stimulant properties, increasing circulation and invigorating the body.  A few drops of ginger essential oil in some warm peanut oil makes an invigorating massage that promotes blood flow and circulation.  A warm compress of lightly steamed ginger is a traditional oriental hangover cure - use a clean cloth or bandanna to tie it around the forehead or the back of the neck.

A brief history...

Written by
BlueBeautysmallIn 2003 I started Blue Dragon Beauty as a hobby.  I'd always loved herbs and natural products and, trapped in a NYC apartment where I couldn't garden, soaps and herbs seemed like a fun idea.  I was good at it.  Finding combinations that were not only fragrant and wonderful, but also helped people turned this little hobby into a business that began to take much of my focus and when I moved back to Ohio in 2004 I made Blue Dragon Beauty my main business.

deepforestLooking back now, Blue Dragon Beauty was my stepping-stone back into the psychic world.  I started giving psychic Readings professionally in 1993 (I got paid $10 for that first Reading to my Mom's best friend.  Prices have increased since then.), but moving to NYC was my attempt at being a normal person.  I did very little psychic work and didn't teach or lecture – I worked in an office and wore a tie.  It was awful.

My talents and abilities still leaked out in strange and new ways and Blue Dragon Beauty was one of those ways (reading minds on the subway was another).
